Is the Republic of Ireland included in the UK mesh?

Well I bought it yesterday as it was so cheap. Have to say, massive improvement in Ireland. Although the Cliffs of Moher remain "meh". 🤐
Also flying out of EGNM v2, the Yorkshire scenery is more detailed and it looks like it should.
I'm pleased with both products at that price.

So are we saying that an Old Coot is 75+ years?
It leaves me on the horns of a dilemma! I coming up to 72, but I wannabe an Old Coot. Should I wish my life away, or will you accept that Cootism starts at 70 maybe?
I wish life wasn't so complicated. 🙄

Well I've just turned 71 and here in Yorkshire, being "God's own country", I feel I'm in the right place in case me clogs get popped. Less far to travel "after" if you get my drift.

Also I hope we can turn off Nessie.
I agree, it's a stupid addition (for me).

That bird looks superb. I'm thinking of buying that package too for the very same reason. How does she fly, Andy?

Post a copy of your scenery_packs.ini file in your Custom Scenery directory within the Xplane program directory structure. It may be a "layering" issue and it's a common thing for those new to the program.

I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds.
I had one of those multi-tone musical horns on my first car, a Cortina Mk II, that went (you'll have to imagine this), "Da Dee Daa Daa", twice. The police, bless them, got the Government to ban them in case people mistook the sound for a siren. Really??? Spoilsports!
I also connected a bull-horn to my Lambretta 125 scooter - it was fun to see people shift out of the way!

Bought it, installed it, love it!
Big difference at low level with oblique shadows.
Flying in between mountains also has an extra dimension.
At that price, it's a no-brainer.

Flying under the Harbor Bridge Sydney in the Orbx scenery is possible, furthermore it was possible to fly under the Luxembourg "Red Bridge" and the Hoover Dam bridge (both asobo) in earlier versions but only if you took small planes. i have the feeling that "crash or not crash" depends on the plane you choose, not on the question if it "should fit" or not
Well I am happy to be corrected!
I took the smallest aircraft I have, the Top Rudder ultralight, and flew under the bridge successfully.
So it looks like the "hitboxes" need adjusting. I'll shut up now, thanks to everyone for their help.

Flying under bridges has depended on your Damage settings. It needs to be Off. I am unaware that the new Update 5 removes that requirement, but do know that having the damage option Off allows you to fly under the bridges anywhere and do not think it is requiring any Orbx enabling as it was always governed by the Sim and not the addon as far as I am aware.
Sorry Jon but I don't think that's quite right.
To wit: I have just flown successfully under Orbx's Sydney Harbour Bridge without incident, both ways. Cannot fly between the towers at Tower Bridge. I can also fly under many other bridges. It's a scenery problem, nothing to do with the game.
As a fan of "The Blue Max" I've always wanted to take my Gypsy Moth under all the bridges I can find. Tower Bridge is one of the largest and easiest but it's not possible. Kindly ask the programmers to fix it.
Many thanks.
PS I'm very happy to be corrected.

Tried Orbx Londinium by flying under the Tower Bridge.
Crash!
As one can now fly under bridges in the SU5 update, will Orbx be enabling this feature and updating their products accordingly?
-
Well as long as you're happy, that's fine then. Personally I think it looks amateurish, bit like the game itself.
But I'll buy it if it's better than the opposing product released today. It just wouldn't be my first choice, as it stands presently.

Sorry Ed but just look at that bridge in the foreground there - absolutely no blending of the road and riverbank. With that like so, I just can't contemplate it.
Just not really very good for such an iconic city. This looks like the London Landmarks saga all over again. Apologies.

Hoping for this weekend, we are testing some optimisations still.
And the bridges as mentioned above will be fixed?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand this... It's aerial imagery, hence the island looked like this at some point when the imagery was taken. Colours can depend on time of the year, weather conditions etc... but a plane flew over this island, took photos and this is what you're seeing in the sim, so Lanzarote looked like this at some point when the photos were taken. Same can be said about Bing imagery, google imagery, etc... at some point it was reality.
But there has been some serious colour or texture manipulation by Orbx. If you look carefully at the last 2 screenshots in my other topic (link is above), you'll see repeating tiles textures and small white dots. That wasn't taken by any aeroplane!
In my opinion, Orbx should de-saturate the green and add some brown and orange to those volcanoes. Whilst I have seen some green when living on the island, I have never seen it anything like this.
Let's have a look at the RAW image, compare that to what Orbx has done to it, then we'll talk and I will pipe down!

@Fizzelle couple of pictures of Lanzarote:
I dont know so much Lanzarote to say if it is realistic or not.
In general I am very happy with the product. I agree there are some issues with GCGM and GCHI (both greenish) that I am still analysing because of interference between packages. GCLA is excelent and also the scenaries in La Palma.
I regret Lanzarote is a complete travesty of what this beautiful island should be. Did you see my photo examples? It's a very desert-like environment that is not in this Orbx product.

I just spent around two hours exploring Orbx Canary islands and I have been using Spain UHD canary islands for over a year.
Firstly...hats off to Team Orbx...
Wow...what a great world environment created.
So much attention to detail....the autogen....buildings....visual galore.
This is quite literally Orbx's greatest offering...especially for GA pilots...this is sim heaven.
It is really that good...
BUT....
Now please hear me out...
I only have one complaint and its a major one...
Gomera Island is just too green.
Gomera is greener at the perimeter around the volcano crater but on the peripheries is more earthy.
The Gomera in Orbx is just slimy green.
Please change the textures to more earthy colors. Spain UHD gomera is better.
Other than this complaint...the product is spectacular.
Please please please revert Gomera to more earthy brownish colors ...and this product will be perfect.
Thank you Orbx for this remarkable scenery.
Highly highly recommended.
Have you seen my post about Lanzarote? Same problem!
