  1. Rechecking that airport... In fact, the missing terrain extension and airport background do appear into P3Dv5.2.22 with Vector active, but they are textured as water, not as background or shoreline... So far, I will leave it as is, and install the Grenadines when returning to the Carribean area. Thank you for your support.
  2. Nick, thank you for your explanation! I now know what happens. Will look for the suggested addon, but generally speaking, I am not flying often in this area... Was just flying from Colombia to USA, with some island hopping en route. Have a good evening
  3. During a flight in the Carribean area, came upon a visual issue at TVSC Orbx VECTOR Inactive, or only FTX_VECTOR_CVX active : Adding FTX_VECTOR_OBJ Adding FTX_VECTOR_EXX
  4. On my system (PDv5.2 + Toposim mesh), the stock airport elevation is 1338 Ft, whereas SkyVector or Airport Guide report it at 1726 Ft (which is more or less the elevation of surrounding terrain in my Toposim mesh). No idea what elevation is reported by a P3Dv5 without third party mesh... Discrepancy between P3D stock airport(s), and actual airport(s) elevation, should possibly be reported on LM forum. Blue skies to all
  5. No other word! We just NEED that LC! Go on, guys. The 3 areas option suits me perfectly.
  6. Running here P3Dv5 latest version. All Orbx FTX Global files installed into Orbx Library, on my F:\ drive Vector ON = runway 13 starting above water (some terrain missing on this side when checked against Google Maps) Vector OFF = runway 13 starting over terrain Blue skies Vector ON: Vector OFF: Google Maps:
  7. On a vanilla P3Dv5 Installation: Changed: P3D4 KL2 -> P3D5 CKL2 P3D4 KV4 -> P3D5 CKV4 New (added): CAS2 - Moose Lake (Lodge) Airport - in real world, close to CBE8, Moose Lake (Lodge) Water Aerodrome CJK2 - Gunisao Lake Airport - in real world, close to CJW8, Gunisao Lake Water Aerodrome Still under old ICAO: P3D4 MXA4 - Estacion Aeronaval, Tulum - still in P3D5, although ICAO was changed to MMTU, now Tulum Airport in Skyvector
  8. Not sure (about my memory)... But a long time ago, probably my FS9 or FSX times, I think having read that some water surfaces altitudes were hard-coded into the sim, putting some lakes into trenches or on mesas when using a third party mesh. There was at these times a small program allowing to change the water surface altitude, where you had to plot the contour of the water surface in upside down view, then changing the altitude, but so much time ago, that I do not remember the name. I remember I did change the altitude of a big lake in southern South America, but that was such a lengthy task that I did not renew the experience... Anyway, enclosing same view under P3D 4.5.12.30293 and Toposim payware mesh. The small lake is somehow higher than the bigger one, but not as drastically... Blue skies
  9. Nick, thank you for your return Hereunder some screen shots with/without Vector (all Vector entries activated or deactivated into the scenery.cfg) No Vector Vector No Vector Vector No Vector Vector Just hoping it helps... Blue skies Philippe
  10. Hi Doug, Altitude was 1555ft, if I read correctly from the original picture... Will have to try with Vector deactivated. Hereunder some more pixies showing the straight shorelines
  11. Good day to all Possibly too straight shorelines where some more curves should be? Thank you for your assistance and comprehension Blue skies
  12. The very best I could achieve with my poor not to say inexistent knowledge of ADE... CBW3 looks more where it should be, although location should be improved... CZST southern runway repositionned into P3D4 as per Google image And the way it looks in Google Maps... Dyke Road does not end on water, but on land... Blue skies
  13. (Content transfered from a post on the Vector support forum) Recently flying into British Columbia, had some issues at the a.m. airports CBW3: both runway ends are over water... CZST: As per Google imagery available, looks like a piece of land is missing at one end of the runway Regarding CBW3, checking further lets me think that the airport is possibly not misplaced. Apart from a few decimals after the dot, or comma at my side, both runway ends are quite exactly at the same coordinates in both Google and P3D v4.1. Regarding CZST, I come also to very close coordinates between Google and P3D. Of course, using ADE, I could easily move the airports to have them on land, but depending on the source used for drawing Vector, is the land at its actual place? BTW : no specific scenery installed for these two airports. I also remember that I did post a while ago, and some P3D earlier versions, that I had a slight heading deviation at PASI between the runway, and the piece of land on which it was built. I must say that with P3D v4 and the latest Vector version, the problem has gone, but I can not ascertain whether LM reoriented the runway, or if the Vector data benefited a more accurate source. Of course, there is here no tragical issue, just ennoying visual issue. Thank you for your attention and help Blue skies
