You are right. It's a virtual world, we can expect anything! Indeed I was surprised to see the ULM. Regarding the drag-chute, the length of the runway does not require its deployment. In this case, it would indeed have been wise to release it earlier. However in the seventies during my holidays, I did a student job at Gosselies airport. (The name of Brussels South Charleroi Airport was not assigned until much later in 1991). At the time it was a regional airport mainly for general aviation and soaring. I was employed at Fairey which mainly worked on Britten Norman Islander and Trislander. (The company has since been replaced by Sonaca). Opposite Fairey, on the other side of the runway, were the facilities of Sabca, which handled the maintenance and overhaul of the Belgian Air Force's T-33, Mirage V and F-104. I spent my lunch time on the edge of the runway in the Islander parking lot observing takeoffs and landings. There, I witnessed the landing of an F-104 with the use of its drag-chute along the entire length of the runway. At the time the runway was relatively short, it had not yet been lengthened and the airliners compagnies were not present. He left the runway to join the Sabca and it was only in his turn to take the taxiway that he releassed his drag-chute. That student job remains a very, very beautiful memory for me. -
