Bolzano to Locher and back is a favourite short flight of mine
Any thing making this flight more realistic is a great step forward for me

I was too late taking up this offer so the scarecrows close the runway
Anyway I can remedy this-does buying an other Parrallel 42 airstrip remove the Halloween monsters?

Nick-I am not in a rush for my part
Enjoying trying X Plane 12
Would I be right in thinking that in due course Orbx scenery will be come available for X Plane 12 and Orbx Central will find the new sim?
Patience is required

Yes it is checked but reading one of your old posts on this problem you said to go to Help in Settings and use the Sync option
All is now good !
Thanks for your help

Object Flow is installed in a Main Library on another hard disc as it cannot be installed directly into P3Dv5
Should this be a problem?

I have latest P3Dv5 version and Win11
l used to get parked planes people long grass on field butterflies etc but no longer
It is as though one “library “ is missing
Anything I could try?

PS I particularly miss the horse at Beto airstrip!

Thanks -your procedure did the job for me last time

Nick- can I use the same procedure for installing this update as you detailed so well for installing a P3D Hotfix?
xxd09

Thanks for that
It was the Rain gauge in my Sibwings An2 that sorted it for P3Dv5
We are just impatient simmers!

Can I amplify my previous post
I use prefixes ie “a” for airports to order scenery in XPlane
Works well but not for Orbx because prefixes mean FTX Central cannot see the Orbx files properly
In fact I use “a” for Orbx airports and “v” for mesh, orthos and everything else Orbx (Orbx own internal ordering system seems to place these files in the right order)
Everything stays in proper place and I can fly without worrying
Not a satisfactory set up and I have to keep an eye for updates
Any other way I could try-am I missing something?

Any thoughts on Thomas Rasmussen,s system for ordering scenery files in X-Plane by the use of prefixes ie “a “ for airports etc
Prefixes won’t work.with Orbx as FSX Central cannot see them for updates etc
Any compromises? Work arounds?
Is it a sensible system?

I too am wrestling through this Scenery placement "thing"
I found the Rasmussen videos very useful and adopted his ideas-a,b,c, to z,zz,zzz etc for placing Scenery Files
It works! but if adopted for Orbx -FTX Central cannot see the Orbx entries.
I compromised and removed all prefixes from all Orbx files and let them fall where they may
Orbx appears to have a alphabetical system operating within its own scenery Files and they all went into the proper order
So far so good-initial flights OK
Ini file attatched
Best of both worlds?

Hi All
Got my Ikarus C42a v1.10 safely into P3Dv4
Copied Ikarus file from Sim Objects/Aircraft in P3Dv3.4 directly into P3Dv4 equivalent
All good
xxd09
PS Now when I run my P3Dv3.4 it tells me I have multiple objects with same name
Sorted by adding the figure 1 to first line of the aircraft cfg file(both models)
I did the same with RealAir planes

I just loaded Orbx scenery for Pacific North West and clicked on FTX Central to load scenery into Microsoft FSX and got the message-"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. Cannot find a part of path C\Program Files(+86)Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Sims X\Orbx\Scripts\Backup\default xml
Can anybody help?

Have P3D v4,5 and 6 plus X-Plane and MSFS 2000 on the one computer
Each program has its own strengths and weaknesses
