  1. If you want to fly in VR with all details enabled, go for the AFS2 version. It runs extremely well in AFS2 with all bells and whistles on, even in VR, while performance struggles in P3D on a 2D screen already, even with settings lowered. So if performance and VR are your main things, go for AFS2. Of course you will be missing out on weather, nice clouds, traffic and all the other things AFS2 is still missing. I own TE Netherlands for P3D as well as for AFS2 and I also actually fly in both sims but I only have TE installed for AFS2. For low and slow sightseeing flights I fly over TE in AFS2 and whenever I want to fly high and dry, focusing more on systems, ATC, weather, etc. I fly in P3D (over FTX Norway).
  2. It isn't really written down what you may expect regarding details but 1. usually your hometown will look worse than the rest because you know it too well and 2. TrueEarth tries to capture the feel of the scenery with some POI's here and there and autogen in most places. It doesn't show you what's actually down there APART FROM (obviously) the photoreal textures (although things may not be totally up to date). Even the CityScape area's won't look exactly like the real thing (again apart from the POI's). And you can't expect 10.000 POI's or every city to look real in a scenery costing 34 euro's. Concerning improvements: it would be nice already if all main churches would be at least represented with a specific autogen building (because every town or village has one and you simply need those to portray the Netherlands). The same goes for all light houses. Other than that you can't expect anything, really, and everything that will be added will be a nice bonus. I wonder if freeware additions could play a role in this... I can imagine people adding detail to their own hometown and it would be nice if those additions could somehow be shared officially and legally.
  3. No, it seems lighthouses aren't included at all right now. Hopefully they will be added some time because the Dutch coast looks odd without those lighthouses.
  4. The one from FSX! I copied the entire trike folder as it is into P3D's aircraft folder and it works like a charm. Afaik the folder is a straight backup of the FSX trike's folder without any changes. (Conversation continued via PM... )
  5. In case you want to complete the amount of windmills: there is one missing in Soest. It's covered by trees in TE. Shot from another angle: EDIT Turned off autogen trees: the mill is hidden underneath the trees indeed! BTW The trike is a GREAT plane to use with TE!!!
  6. One shadow is dropped by the sun in the sim, the other shadow is baked into the photoreal textures... Not much you can do about it unless you edit ALL shadows out of the textures, which is a mighty (and almost impossible) task...
  7. Yes, the missing lighthouses are a clear oversight! Hope they will be added soon! (At least before the Aerofly FS 2 version will be released: in that regard I am happy Orbx first released the P3D version so the Aerofly FS 2 version will be 'perfect' from right away LOL )
  8. Wrong kind of building in wrong place and angle on the water:
  9. Very small town but still... This area is very distinct from the rest of the town because of all the 'flatgebouwen' (how do you call those high buildings in English...? Flats, just like in Dutch?) But even if those high buildings are too hard too add something might be done about the unrealistic current autogen buildings that seem out of proportion. Here is a real world picture (not showing all flats btw): BTW I have lowered my autogen settings for performance purposes: with autogen at extremely dense it looks like this (zoomed in view). In this case less autogen is better.
  10. I think it would be better to say not everyone in the Netherlands has a credit card: it is less common to have one than it is in for instance the USA and other countries. It certainly isn't the main way to pay here in the Netherlands. I know a LOT of people that don't have a credit card. And obviously 'the whole world has CC's' is far beside the truth.
  11. Agreed! At least at this moment in time... Let's talk about 'nothing gets better' again in 10 years or so.
  12. Oops, my bad. Probably due to the tears of happiness I had in my eyes when reading the information. LOL Well, no, thanks, I am fine with this academic price.
  13. A while ago I posted that this scenery was my most anticipated scenery in years and that I couldn't wait to get it. And boy... it looks even better that I ever thought it would!!! I am speechless, really. Lost for words. And are you really serious this will only cost me €34,-...? You gotta be kidding!!! Shame it gets released for XP11 first though LOL I was planning to buy it for Aerofly FS 2 because of its supreme performance but since the P3D version will be released sooner I will probably buy it for P3D too for starters. And for AFS2 later on. Discount or no discount. For €34,- this is an absolute no-brainer! Wow. Really wow. Totally utterly wow.
