  1. I had issues with sunken runways at Whenuapai (NZWP). I was looking for an alternative airport to NZAA that had ILS available and Whenuapai suited well except that the height issues made it unusable. I had all sorts of "stuff" installed with FSX but with my Prepar3D installation, stuck with ORBX vector scenery worldwide including most of my airports. The only non- ORBX airport scenery I have installed is for Wellington, Christchurch, Nelson & Dunedin. Certainly noting in the Auckland area. In trying to find a solution for my NZWP issues (I had already run the FTX Central Vector utility without success), I checked the forums and found an entry in the FSX Support forums as below. The directory structures in Lockheed Prepar3d are similar to FSX so I was able to go to Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ORBX\FTX_NZ\FTX_NZNI_05_SCENERY\scenery to ensure that the 4 files mentioned in the post were there - and they were. I then checked Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Scenery\World\scenery and found NZWP_ADEX_VLC_ALT.bgl which I renamed NZWP_ADEX_VLC_ALT.old. This solved my problem. I have posted this in the hope that it helps another forum user.
  2. My first trip to Melbourne in quite some time and I was faced with exactly the same problem. Running the Vector utility worked 100%. Thank you Doug.
  3. Gisborne is my home airport and I fly in and out of it on a regular basis. ORBX have done a fantastic job with the whole area. Your photos are very cool. :)
  4. Brilliant news. I'm so happy that my home airport is receiving the Orbx treatment. Just in case people get the wrong idea about the hospital heliport though, it is on the ground between the road outside the hospital and the Emergency Department - it isn't "on top": of anything. :P It's all true about the railway line too ... AND believe it or not, trains have right of way!!
  5. Cancel that request - applying the V1.10 patch adds the missing file
  6. I recently purchased the Orbx FTX Global and had the software delivered to me on DVD (due to the large size of the d/l file). I have installed the software and received the following error message: "C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Texture\ 050C2Su4.bmp A decompression error has occurred (#2029) Unknown decompression error." I clicked the "Ignore" button and continued the installation which was completed successfully. I then reinstalled but received the same error. Once again I clicked "Ignore" and continued. There were no other errors and the installation appears successful except that the one file (050C2Su4.bmp) is missing from the above texture directory.. Would it be possible to get a copy of that one file please?
