Curious if the Mesh is even still useful or if Asobo has updated to similar resolution elevation data as per New Zealand
Hopefully Orbx will make a statement in this regard. I wonder if the Orbx Iceland mesh is obsolete (at the moment)?

Isn't Orbx involved in the New Zealand update? If so, there shouldn't be a problem.

I have known Terry for many years. We often had contact via Skype and it was always a pleasure to chat with him, often for hours because we lost track of time. He also often mentioned Ken Terry and Gerold/Stillwater.
The flight simulator meant a lot to him. However, due to his serious illness, it became increasingly difficult for him to communicate. Unfortunately the contact suddenly broke off around May 2021. I feared bad things. Unfortunately I was never able to reach him again.
My thoughts are with his family and his wife Caroline.

Thanks Orbx-Team for giving us this NZ mesh update!

Thanks Nick for "having an eye" on this - looking forward to coming updates.
I have to admit that for addon developers the problem of constantly adapting their own data to the innovations in MSFS still exists.
-
Correction to above - it should read:
As soon as Orbx Iceland Mesh is active both runway ends lead into up-hill terrain!
-
This problem at Siglufjördur/BISI does not come up when using MSFS stock scenery.
As soon as Orbx NZ Mesh is active both runway ends lead into up-hill terrain!
Above mentioned procedures do not fix the problem.
-
After reading your posting and I set my aircraft to Milford Sound/NZMF for verification. I have Orbx NZ Mesh active and I confirm the problem!
This is probably due to the Sim Update 9. I remember that this problem did not exist before.

teecee/Terry Carr ?
Unfortunately, I didn't hear or read anything from Terry Carr for a very long time in this forum.
I also do not receive any response to my emails.
Does anyone know anything more?

Maybe trying this:

Those oddly morphing textures happen if the active landclass file calls for textures that the sim cannot find, thus using a random assortment. This can happen if the landclass file scenery entries are in incorrect order or the terrain.cfg file itself has become corrupted.

You do have a scenery.cfg! Most likely you don't find it?
In Win7 it's here:
