As far as I know, it has to do with the data resolution from the used weather source being to low. I also believe MS/Asobo are aware.

Thanks for posting John.
The chart with routes and holding points is very impressive and a good insight of military planning.
Too bad the fly past was limited due to bad weather.

and the devs who worked on the other GB sceneries might have other projects they're working on.
That is also an answer which can break the silence.
My thinking is also that the gap between Orbx and the customers has grown.
We used to be a community all together. Not that I am waiting for news about GB. Just sharing my thoughts.

I am not aiming for reality in a flightsimulator but if it looks convincing enough for me, than I am satisfied.
For instance, some plane models have a low polygon count which bothers me a lot. The model is not convincing for me then.
What can I say, I am a visual guy.- 1

I thought the UK was no longer in Europe or is that no longer in the EU?
Still a European country but indeed, no member of the EU.

Postimage is now using 1280 x 720 as its default image size for linked images. It does this resizing for any file size
larger than the 720p size (e.g. 1080p, 1440p, 4K)
More image hosting sites do this. That's why I use my own webspace to share images/photographs.

Orbx has stated in the past that the airports they make are snapshots in time.
They do not intent to keep them updated until some developer, being independent or Orbx's feels like it could use the update like they did with Brisbane and Stockholm.Sometimes another developer makes a new version of an airport like Canberra for instance.
When Orbx made the airport, there was a large construction site. Now, there is a new version, not by Orbx, where the site is finished.

Christchurch is one of the most comprehensive airports for MSFS I've seen myself.
Indeed really a piece of art.

As far as I can see, the trees on the right are custom models not autogen trees. To my knowledge Accuseason is only touching the autogen.

I have 22H2 and do not see any shortcomings with MSFS but maybe it is system dependent.

There are hardware requirements, that are most likely not fulfilled.
Thank you Nick.
I followed the link and noticed the requirements like for instance TPM which I do not have.

Yes, the main window opens but the option Virtualization-based Security is not there.
That's why I think it's Windows version or hardware dependent.

Thank you for your help.
I found that site earlier and I do not have the screens and options displayed there.

I cannot find any setting about VBS in my system.
Is this dependent upon a certain version of Windows 10/11 or the presence of a certain chip like for instance the TPM ability? My computer is from 2017 with a 8700K and an Asus 370 if I'm not mistaken.

Holy cow, NZA works wonders in MSFS.
That Milford Sound looks very promising.

Default Queenstown actually looks very spectaculair with the, what I think, 1m DEM in a wide area.
I wonder, if you disable PG, will the high resolution DEM still remain? -
That's not how it looks in my sim John.
Do you have conflicting scenery? Try with an empty Community folder. -
Looks impressive John!
I forgot to add that I made (game/demo) music until 1999. Since I moved to the place where I live now, the studio is collecting dust in the boxes on the attic.
That is 23 years now. I wonder if the equipment (synthesizers, drummachines, samplers, mixing table, etc.) still works.
Speaking of a long break.

any cures out there from you all?
More hobbies than flight simming alone?
I only fly the sim when I'm not photographing real (military) aviation.
And I am photographing a lot last weeks.
When I do not have the camera in my hands I like to hike.
And there is also my soccer club where I work as a volunteer.
But I do look forward to the next World Update for MSFS.

Great to hear directly from the source Holger.
The pre-compiling and different LOD algorithm remain unique for the Orbx version as I understand.- 1

Congrats Holger. Soon we all can enjoy your work in the next MSFS WU.

I have no idea why someone whose IP adress is in India or Pakistan would want to spend their time doing this
It could be an automatic post bot or something?

While there are nice solutions for airport traffic and indeed FSLTL is good, I do mis the little GA planes in all those packages.

Introducing PNG Highlands Bush Strips Pack 1 for Microsoft Flight Simulator
in Orbx Preview Announcements, Screenshots and Videos

Great to see these Ken and they look very nice.
My only gripe is the poor satellite images that MSFS sometimes shows in the PNG area. Not your fault of course.
See the slopes on the left in this picture:
I hope to see this covered in MSFS2024 with the new digital twin earth feature.
