  1. I just did a fresh install of P3RD, v.53 and noticed that as soon as I downloaded "TerraFlora v2" and "Vector", the sim would not let me load any aircraft but instead would crash to my desktop at the time of loading the aircraft (any aircraft). Removing both addons has resolved the CTD issues, so I am wondering if they are both compatible with v5.3. I only have 1 other addon loaded - Orbx "Base PACK" - which is not causing any CTD. Before I venture into the maze that is the Lockheed Martin's forum, where they'll ask me specifically which addons I had running at the time of the CTDs, I thought I'd check with you guys. I only have the "Base PACK" loaded and running now (and no other addon from Orbx, or from any other third party). I can only 'suspect' that the 2 addons mentioned aboive are / may be the cause of the crashes (?) only b/c as soon as uninstalled the sim works fine. Any idea from your end please? [Edited] >> Now, I am having the same issue with the "BASE Pack" as well. Removing all three addons resolves the CTD. Thank you.
  2. Thank you Doug. I had to wait for the sim to 'wake up' to Orbx - LOL. It looks like they are connected now
  3. Hi, I am just trying to install Orbx addons into a newly installed PR3D v5.3 (clean install). I purchased the addons for v5.1 and was able to add them to the sim. I am in 'Orbxdirect.com', and when select "Download via Orbx Central" I am being asked to "Choose an application to open the Orbx link". If I choose 'Orbx Central', I get an error: "Cannot read property abbreviation of undefined". Let me know what steps I am missing please. The sim is open and working. Thanks.
  4. Hello! After installing TerraFlora v2, the color of the trees in my P3D v 5.2 was finally the more natural darker green, for a while (this, for all seasons). After reloading the sim, however, I am back to the stock Prepar3D 'bright green' trees. I tried tweaking the color in Orbx Central, within the configuration panel but can't seem to be able to restore the 'darker green'. Can someone please tell me how to fix this? I can attach screen shots from the configuration panel, if needed.
  5. Ok, after much tweaking. . . Orbx Central somehow started! Thank you both for your help and support.
  6. I reinstalled P3D and then I uninstalled the Academic Client. Uninstalling that client removes the Prepar3D shortcut from my desktop and I can no longer access the sim until I re-xecute the .exe. But then once I re-rerun the .exe, Orbx Central still does not recognize the sim. I am lost. I have followed all the suggestions in this exchange. What am I missing?
  7. Ok, thank you. Let me make sure I follow: Once I have downloaded the P3D v5 and unzipped the entire package to a drive on my PC, do I (1) remove the 'Prepar3D v5 Academic Client', then (2) execute the other .exe components, then (3) run Orbx Central?
  8. ...let me add... I never installed it to begin with. All I did was install 'Setup_Prepar3D.exe', 'Install_Scenery.msi' and 'Install_Content.msi'. I never installed the 'Install_Client.msi', after I saw your message.
  9. I right-clicked on "Install_Client.msi" and selected 'Uninstall' but the system never asked me if I wanted to deregister P3D, it just went ahead and uninstalled the client. After that, I still see the client in my Windows Control Panel. Am I supposed to still see it there?
  10. Hi Nick! Yes, this is my own PC. By "uninstall and reinstall the P3D v5 client" you mean uninstall and reinstalled the sim on my PC, correct?
  11. Hi there! I did. I can try to do a new install of Prepar3D and see if that does something...? What do you think?
  12. Hi! Like many other users, I am experiencing issues with Orbx Central not finding Pv5. I installed / uninstalled / installed the same software app with the same results. Can somebody please provide some guidance? Thank you.
