  1. I would also love to see a waterclass product. Would add immensely to the realism
  2. Look in your scenery library. You should have 3 entries for OLC NA. OLC NA 1, OLC NA 2, & OLC NA Night Lighting. I live just north of Dulles in Ashburn. and I find it to be quite accurate up by me. Haven't really looked down by Manassas yet. Regards, Rob
  3. I would just reply in that thread the name and identifier of the airports that are wrong. Regards, Robert
  4. I believe Neil has fixed Walkers Cay and other airports in the Bahamas. They should be released with the next group of airport updates in September.
  5. No Problem Eric! Just download the attached file and copy it into your PTA folder and then open it with PTA and then go to apply and select apply the preset. Make sure your lighting settings within P3D are set to this as well. test.ini
  6. Do you use any shader tweaking programs? I use PTA and my lights are very bright. The program has a setting to adjust the luminosity of city lights at night. Very visible from the flight levels too! Best of all it's free and is very easy to revert back to the default shaders if needed!
  7. I agree Stan. Does look like MN/WI. They need to come out with a Jack Pine tree model for this area.
  8. This would be a FTX Global avector issue. OLC has nothing to do with beaches. The east coast of Florida is also almost completely void of beaches.
  9. While I understand where you're coming from, there are a lot of pine forests in the Orlando area. Certainly that qualifies as central Florida. But, I would like to see more palm trees and oaks in Florida. Specifically in the housing communities like you've mentioned.
  10. The coastline around Milwaukee os also like this. The river is also landlocked when it should flow into Lake Michigan. Regards, Rob
  11. It only said I had missing files for OLC EU. However, I just did a complete re-install of OLC NA and it seems to have fixed it. I had tried the texture optimizer tool on OLC NA. I'm now fairly certain that that is what caused it. Won't make that mistake again.
  12. So while flying from ORD to SFO today, I 've noticed a ton of ugly tiles spanning from just west of Denver up to the border of FTX NORCAL. I have FTX OLC NA. Would a force migration fix this?? Regards, Rob
  13. Hello, I was flying from ORD-SFO today and noticed that when I got over the Rockies just west of Denver, there were a ton of repeating tiles that did not look natural at all. So I went into FTX Central to run a force migration. When I do, FTX Central crashes and I get the following error message and report. System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException: The invocation of the constructor on type 'Orbx.FTXCentral.MainWindow' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'D:\System Volume Information' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileSystemEnumerableIterator`1.AddSearchableDirsToStack(SearchData localSearchData) at System.IO.FileSystemEnumerableIterator`1.MoveNext() at System.Collections.Generic.List`1..ctor(IEnumerable`1 collection) at System.IO.Directory.GetFiles(String path, String searchPattern, SearchOption searchOption) at Orbx.FTXCentral.MainWindow.ResetCurrentSimMigrations() at Orbx.FTXCentral.MainWindow..ctor() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Windows.Markup.WpfXamlLoader.Load(XamlReader xamlReader, IXamlObjectWriterFactory writerFactory, Boolean skipJournaledProperties, Object rootObject, XamlObjectWriterSettings settings, Uri baseUri) at System.Windows.Markup.WpfXamlLoader.LoadBaml(XamlReader xamlReader, Boolean skipJournaledProperties, Object rootObject, XamlAccessLevel accessLevel, Uri baseUri) at System.Windows.Markup.XamlReader.LoadBaml(Stream stream, ParserContext parserContext, Object parent, Boolean closeStream) at System.Windows.Application.LoadBamlStreamWithSyncInfo(Stream stream, ParserContext pc) at System.Windows.Application.LoadComponent(Uri resourceLocator, Boolean bSkipJournaledProperties) at System.Windows.Application.DoStartup() at System.Windows.Application.<.ctor>b__1_0(Object unused) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.InternalRealCall(Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs, Delegate catchHandler) at System.Windows.Threading.DispatcherOperation.InvokeImpl() at System.Windows.Threading.DispatcherOperation.InvokeInSecurityContext(Object state) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state, Boolean preserveSyncCtx) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state, Boolean preserveSyncCtx) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) at MS.Internal.CulturePreservingExecutionContext.Run(CulturePreservingExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) at System.Windows.Threading.DispatcherOperation.Invoke() at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.ProcessQueue() at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.WndProcHook(IntPtr hwnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam, Boolean& handled) at MS.Win32.HwndWrapper.WndProc(IntPtr hwnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam, Boolean& handled) at MS.Win32.HwndSubclass.DispatcherCallbackOperation(Object o) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.InternalRealCall(Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs, Delegate catchHandler) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.LegacyInvokeImpl(DispatcherPriority priority, TimeSpan timeout, Delegate method, Object args, Int32 numArgs) at MS.Win32.HwndSubclass.SubclassWndProc(IntPtr hwnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam) at MS.Win32.UnsafeNativeMethods.DispatchMessage(MSG& msg) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.PushFrameImpl(DispatcherFrame frame) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.PushFrame(DispatcherFrame frame) at System.Windows.Application.RunDispatcher(Object ignore) at System.Windows.Application.RunInternal(Window window) at System.Windows.Application.Run(Window window) at Orbx.FTXCentral.App.Main() Regards, Rob
  14. Correct Don. The whole island is covered with them. Very strange trees. While they're technically a coniferous tree with a whole bunch of needles, they actually look more like a normal deciduous tree. In any case though, I remember them being very short. I think if ORBX just covered the island with a ton of large bushes, it would probably do it the most justice.
  15. Happy Birthday Neil! Have a great day!
  16. That's pretty much the truth Sylvain. I file, activate/close, and give weather briefings for pilots going to these little islands all day at work. I believe Walkers Cay(MYAW) is a luxury fishing resort. The number of charter companies flying between the eastern coast of Florida and the Bahamas have sky-rocketed over the past several years. Looks Great Neil!
  17. So while flying from ORD-IAD today I got a blue screen and my computer completely crashed and had to restart. The affected file was "FLTMGR.sys". Anybody know what caused this or how to fix it? Regards, Rob
  18. For comparison, this is what it looks like in google earth.
  19. I can also confirm. Took me by quite a surprise. There is even an airport in the middle of this "lake". It is full of elevation anomalies as well. Running P3D v3 Professional and latest vector.
  20. The Bahamas in general needs some work. Bimini (MYBS) looks like a dessert. Some islands look great like some just north of MYGM, whereas some look totally unrealistic, like MYBS.
  21. Yeah I think Vector just doesn't have that particular waterbody included in their data whereas ultimate terrain does. If somebody could post this issue and screenshot over in the vector support forum, it would be greatly appreciated as I am at work and am limited in my ability to do so.
