  1. Speaking of GSX Pro, will the airport config file found in the installation folder be used automatically or should you move it to the location where GSX Pro normally stores airport config files? Guess this question is more for FSDT but figured you guys would know.
  2. 😂 Amazing how I missed that one, right before my eyes!! Must be it's Friday... Regarding static models, what I've seen at some airport is how using the slider in MSFS for 'Ground aircraft density' will affect if and how many static aircraft models will be visible. Setting it all the way to the left will remove all aircraft. Just thought I seems to be a good way handling static aircraft. Where you don't need to come up with an external tool and will be able to please everyone. Regardless if they like or don't like having the aircraft statues 😉 Just landed for the first time since the update and it's looking really life-like and very nice, thanks for this great update Marcus!
  3. Perfect, thanks! Like I said, highly unlikely I'll ever need to use it though. Just out of curiosity, where was this instruction mentioned which I apparently overlooked? A follow-up question on the static aircraft topic, what are the pros and cons of instead using the built-in sliders for aircraft parked on the ground in MSFS? Meaning you won't need a config tool but can instead set the sliders in MSFS as you wish. Which will determine the amount of static/parked aircraft you'll see in the scenery.
  4. Oups, I didn't. However, like you guess I won't be enabling static aircraft anytime soon 😂 The file you mention where MSFS keeps this information, would that be in ...\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes\Orbx-airport-esgg-gothenburg.dat ? If so and I for whatever reason would like to see static aircraft, I delete this file and then enable static aircraft before starting MSFS?
  5. Even before starting MSFS up, I smile to myself when I see this kind of thing. Once again, I wish more developers would follow your lead in so many ways Marcus - brilliant!!
  6. What a great surprise just in time for weekend! Can't wait to check it out 🙂
  7. What I'm looking for John is a way for me as a user to hide products on the list I'm no longer using and which I already uninstalled.
  8. Waking up my own and old thread since I still think it would be very nice having an option in Orbx Direct to hide products from the list you're no longer using. I guess this mainly is a problem for those of us who bought and/or tried out quite a number of products over the years where the list starts growing quite long. Thanks in advance for your consideration adding this currently missing functionality to your UI.
  9. Ok, thanks but is there a list somewhere what titles are included? Normally when there's a sale, you will find a link that will take you to the titles included.
  10. Is there somewhere I can see which products are included in this sale?
  11. That sounds awesome Marcus and I wish all developers were as transparent and showing the same friendly attitude you do 👍
  12. Ah, got you Nick. Not a big deal, just felt a bit weird when I wasn't allowed to skip that step and then having to remove the library manually but now I know the reason behind it 🙂
  13. When setting up Orbx Central on a new computer, during the installation/setup process you're forced to create a library. Which of course later can be removed. Wouldn't it make sense to allow the user straight away during the installation/setup process to choose whether they want a library created or not?
  14. Thanks Marcus, I'm sure ESSA as well as your future products will be great and what you've shown in here looks absolutely fantastic This is a great time for all of us enjoying this hobby and to witness how far we've come. I remember many, many years ago when I drove out to Arlanda with my camera and instructions from you what you wanted me to take pictures of for what I think was your first ESSA scenery IIRC. Time flies
  15. Thanks for pointing me in this direction Marcus even when I'm late to the party. So happy to learn we'll soon have a nice ESSA in MSFS and the screenshots look awesome! So realistic! What made me a bit worried was those comments about baked in shadows, old school etc. I've been enjoying this hobby since the first version of MSFS and even before that on my Amiga 500. What we have today is nothing short of amazing. The visuals and lighting seen in today's MSFS is what most of us only dreamed of not that long ago. This combined with a game engine and new tools available to developers where they can develop things which would have been impossible yesterday, all this sums up to very exciting times! So with this said, I hope both for you and us that you'll also move in that direction and make sure to both learn and enjoy all the new tools you have at your disposal. This arena needs artists like you Marcus and I can't wait to enjoy both ESSA and future products from you! Lastly to comment on interiors. Where I read some people pretty much saying "Why bother". In my case, I would have agreed before MSFS. Where the developers had to be very conservative, always balancing visual fidelity with performance. Today though and thanks to Asobo, that is no longer the case. At least not to the extent it used to be. From a user perspective, of course it's not at the top of the list for most of us. However...now when have a platform which allows us to enjoy also those parts, to me that adds quite a lot to the immersion. Where I in the past didn't even think about it (but dreamt about it occasionally), today I often end my flight by going into external view to check out the airport in more detail. Including the interior. Being able to do this in VR is so cool! So with all this said, so much looking forward flying into and out of my home airport again but please don't get stuck in the past Marcus but instead embrace all the new and cool things we have in front of us 🙂
  16. Wow, I certainly did miss this new thread and what you say is amazing news. Oh, and those screenshots look...good!!
  17. Any recent update on ESSA Marcus since your last post back in October last year? Do we dare to hope 2023 will be the year when we got a proper ESSA in MSFS ?
  18. Got it Nick and makes sense what you say. Maybe an option could be added to Orbx Central where you can manually choose any airports you want to hide from the list?
  19. Is there any way for me to remove airports from my products list in Orbx Central I no longer use? Below is an example of some freeware airports/products I've tried out in the past which I no longer use. Marked in red in the screenshot below. Would be nice if I could somehow remove these from the list. To make sure I only see those airports I'm actually interested in and use these days.
  20. Sounds great and can't wait to find the time checking out the new update myself. Bromma is only a 15 mins drive from where I live. So always very cool to fly in and out of Bromma and recognize all things down on the ground Guess I'll see for myself when I try it out but has the ICA Maxi building next to the airport been finished now also in the scenery in the same way it has IRL?
