  1. Re pricing, always room for some gentle amusement. I am looking forward to Gold Coast and Gladstone. Neil
  2. Just saw it in Orbx Central, bit pricey at $1,100 dollars and change. Will wait till the next sale. Neil
  3. Hi, my take on the trees. Developers know what the airport looks like, and strive to achieve it. Trees are a problem and have been since FSX. Iceland, the Canadian Arctic continue to have trees. No one seems to have quite solved it yet. Would appear to be an Asobo problem. Don't blame the scenery developers. Neil
  4. Hi Marcus, Sorry to hear about what has led you to review the pricing for ESKS and ESNQ. This discussion has come up before, about updates. If an update is a small patch, then free is reasonable. If there is considerable work involved, then the work should be paid for. I look forward to a payware bundle. I know the quality and value will be there. Neil
  5. Sun_King_135, you are quite correct to point out the difference of Bromma. First time landing, I taxied by the terminal and missed the parking completely! My disingenuous point was that its the whole experience that is most important, to me. So it would seem we have flogged this topic enough, and should let Marcus get on with it! Neil
  6. I am a little late to this discussion. I am in agreement with Marcus, and share his concern about hi-res interiors. For me it comes down to what has the most value. Landing, it is the integration of the airport area with the surrounding terrain, the runway/taxiways textures, and then the gates at the terminal. I am looking forward to the service vehicles and the gates Marcus is working on, a new level. Where is the value in the terminal interior beyond what can be seen from the cockpit, or an outside view. This is much the same as aircraft interiors, look at them once, and never again. I do realize that much work has gone into them, and many developers highlight this, it just doesn't provide value for me. Look at Stockholm Bromma, a really great experience, and not an interior view in sight. Neil
  7. Not pointless, the WUP version is better than the BMW, and the Andreas Hegi version looks to be the best of all. This is not a criticism of the earlier versions. The Orbx release will cost more, there has been more time and effort spent on it. I am delighted as Bolzano has been a favorite of mine for years. Always loved the approach, and been disappointed in the airport. WUP, version is good, but if you compare, from the screenshots this newer version is better. Besides, when it comes to developers, they always think they can do better. they are not to be discouraged! Neil
  8. Look's very impressive, capturing the look and feel of the airport. I will be purchasing, at release. Neil
  9. Hi Marcus Thanks for the recent work (Malmo and Bromma). The addition of a config tool for static aircraft, is the solution many were looking for. I look forward to seeing more of your work in your expanding MSFS portfolio. You are bringing great value to Orbx and flightsimulation. Neil
  10. Hi Marcus, just a followup to my previous comments on static aircraft. I see in your Stockholm Arlanda Facebook entries that an option for static aircraft is to be part of the package, so the solution is there. The inclusion of ESKS and ESNQ is much appreciated. Linking them to a patch that removes static aircraft ie Malmo or Gothenburg is an awkward choice for me. One of my options, is to not upgrade an existing airport that has statics removed, but then do I miss inclusions. Choices! Neil
  11. Hi Marcus, I am with Gordon on statics. I have expressed my concern most recently with KCRW, and saw the static option in KBUR to be a good solution. This is my comment on KCRW. "The passenger side is empty. What I hope to see is something like Tweed, New Haven, as a model. This is a contentious point, those who like the visual depth that a static airliner with airside equipment brings, and those who want the airside clear for ai and 3rd party traffic. I hope that Orbx can satisfy both option." The static aircraft that featured in Orbx airports bring great value to the sim. I think there is an opportunity to satisfy both communities. Neil
  12. I will be purchasing the upgrade of KBUR. The static aircraft install utility will be very useful, answering a definite need. There has been a considerable amount of ill considered comments about entitlement to upgrades. If a developer has spent time on an upgrade, they are entitled to payment for the work done. This is how they make a living, and this is how they can continue to produce products in the future. Neil
  13. Hi Wolfko Yes, there are loads of planes, but not where i would like to see them. The passenger side is empty. What I hope to see is something like Tweed, New Haven, as a model. This is a contentious point, those who like the visual depth that a static airliner with airside equipment brings, and those who want the airside clear for ai and 3rd party traffic. I hope that Orbx can satisfy both options, within MSFS. Neil
  14. Looks good, but I would like to see at least one static airliner. It looks empty, without some airside traffiic. Neil
  15. Comments on the work in progress: - Static aircraft, good to see Marcus addressing this issue with an option for static aircraft. Important for me as they play a large part in the feel and texture of an airport. I do not want to add a 3rd party aircraft package to complete an airport. Static aircraft can be created for an airport, adding visual value. - SBSP Congonhas, a remarkable airport with a remarkable approach. Hope to see it back on Matteo's list, after current work completed. I also think he would create a stunning release. - Middle Eastern Airports proposed by Fahdriyami, absolutely, many approaches highlighting stunning scenery. There are many areas to explore, currently flying into all the cities served by S7 Siberian Airlines, just a whole world of scenic beauty. Great way to explore, pick an airline, get their route map, and start flying. There is lots to do, MSFS provides an incredible base, and Orbx and can provide the needed cityscapes and airports to complete. I have been simming since the start, this is the best yet. P3d is the past, for me. Glad to see Orbx building for the latest generation. Neil
  16. Congratulations Marcus, well deserved. I think you have already had an impact on Orbx products with your existing work. New challenges, new opportunities. Neil
  17. A welcome update, pleased to see Marcus will be porting over his work to MSFS. Now looking forward to Matteo's projects, especially Congonhas, which should be a wow! Neil
  18. Flying Fish, whats the value, in deleting the Shaders, updated drivers and it looks good. thanks
  19. Definitely a Wow! Currently I am running P3Dv4.1, FSW and AFS2. This scenery is definitely for low and slow GA, and seems ideally suited to AFS2, and with VR, should be brilliant. So looks like AFS2 will be my platform of choice. I have a little concern over how well P3D4 will do with this level of scenery, will purchase and see how it looks!
