  1. Hello, No answer can be given to that question without knowing what you did with the control panel. I assume you have no FTX region?
  2. Hello Carl, There is no need to ask for what is already in hand. In the meantime, use this method if you wish.
  3. Hello Stewart, I would agree but we are all different.
  4. Hello, having been advised by someone who knows and now having the dual control panels, this is the answer. The same person has written a user manual which should be with you soon.
  5. Hello Mark, this is so valuable, I have pinned it. Thanks very much indeed. Please add to it if you wish. To other customers, please do not post support requests here, if you have a support request on this subject, please start a new topic in the Vector Support forum.
  6. As before, please stand by. Please don't post any more "me too" posts.
  7. Hello, I can only show you what I see. I have no control panels with both options. I do not know why you are all seeing different control panels. I have asked for clarification and if necessary modifications. Please stand by.
  8. Please take another look at the NA regions' control panels. Then please return and tell us which one of the NA region's control panels contains this exact option. Ideally with a screen shot of it. Thanks.
  9. Hello, You will not see that option in any of the NA regions' control panels. Those are the subject of this topic.
  10. Hello, Both owners of regions without Open LC and owners with OpenLC have to be catered for. If the regions' lighting was disabled by default when Open LC was installed, then re-installing a region or adding another region would enable the lighting for that region and only the re-installing of OpenLC would disable it again. If the new lighting was not included in the regions, then owners of regions who did not own Open LC would not have the new lighting system. If the new lighting was not included in OpenLC, owners without regions would be deprived of that, including of course the vast area outside the regions. I cannot see a better solution than the control panel to allow owners of any these products to have the best possible options.
  11. Hello Jack, If you don't tick the box, you have the regions' lighting and the OpenLC lighting at the same time. Roughly twice as many lights in total. The tick box is there to prevent this happening.
  12. Hello. To clear up any confusion as to which setting to select: Explanation. Open LC NA includes the Orbx night lighting. The NA regions also include Orbx night lighting. Therefore, if you are in a region and you also have OpenLC NA installed, you will have TWO sets of night lighting. The control panel. You will only see it if you have a region and OpenLC installed. This is what it does. BOX NOT CHECKED BOX CHECKED Apologies, the images were lost when Postimage unexpectedly moved. Please read on in any case.
  13. Don't mention it Larry. I've pinned it before but I guess someone pulled it out of the wall.
  14. Hello Neil KBFM, as reported here and LFPV as reported here and CJQ6 as reported here Edited 9th October, airstrip added.
  15. Yes, I see this too. I have merged your topic with the right one.
  16. Depending on the method used to install FSX Steam Edition, there may be no registry entry created for the FTX installers to use. The result will be this The solution is to download the FSX Registry Utility that can be found on this page. You will find a full user guide in FSX Registry Utility Help.chm which is included in the download. Use this utility to set the path to your FSX Steam Edition installation and the installer will then offer the option of FSX.
  17. Would it be better to add this to the misfit airport topic to save Neil from looking for them? I can merge it if you wish?
  18. Linked from the Vector forum. Philippines misplaced airports
  19. To MotoDave, I have merged your trees report with this topic so that it can be fixed. See post 83.
  20. Hello and welcome to the forums. At the moment there is no FTX product that covers Northern France.
  21. Hello Neil, This has been added to the Vector forum, just for your information.
  22. If FSX boxed is the only FSX version on a PC, clearly the correct installer and FTX Central version to use is the FSX one. In any case, there will only be a choice of FSX in the installer drop down menu and FTX Central will simply start and manipulate FSX files. Some confusion may arise when FSX Steam Edition is the only FSX version on the PC. If it has been correctly installed, the installer and FTX Central should recognise it as FSX boxed and behave as above. Sometimes, however, the installer and/or FTX Central will register that there is a copy of both versions, when in fact there is not. If this occurs and FSX Steam Edition is the only version installed, it must be treated as if it were FSX boxed, again as above. If either the FSX Steam Edition installer option of the FTX Central FSX Steam Edition option are used, files will be placed in misnamed folders and FTX Central will not see them and generate an error message. This may seem a little counter-intuitive but the FSX Steam Edition installer and FTX Central options are only for where both versions are installed on the same PC.
  23. Perhaps it's because I am a moderator. I have no problem if anyone needs their signature editing. I have done dozens so far and only need to be asked.
