  1. Hello Rodger, when I was at college, tuition was paid for by the taxes that my father and every other working man paid. He even received a grant towards my living expenses. Today, due I think to someone from the government over here years ago seeing how much money could be made out of students over there, my daughter has had to amass £64,000 of student debt in order to qualify as a nurse. Then the same governments (this is not a political point, they have all done it) that made it this way complain that there is a shortage of nurses. It makes my blood boil. 😡 I must have lived a very sheltered life. I wasn't good at sport at school and even today, I have little interest in it. I lack the competitive element that seems to be needed to gain one over my fellow beings. I have never been in the military, apart from cadets at school, though my son has and he has some very worthwhile friends as a result. My main hobby is flight simulation, I used to fly online with a group and that went well until we gradually drifted apart and in some cases, though not yet in mine, died. I do have other interests. Like you, I have worked with some excellent fellow workers over the years and enjoyed being a part of those "teams". Somehow though, we never seemed to keep in touch. Really, I don't do acquaintances and I have a small core of true friends who are enough, beyond the mainly good people who I meet from day to day.
  2. Hello, welcome to the Orbx forums. To address your concerns about the lack of 'contact support' links, in both cases, you will need to scroll down or in the "app", resize the window. Clicking on either the "Support" tab in the "app", or on the "Support" link at the website will take you to this web page: where you can select the option you consider to be most appropriate and send in a support ticket. This seems to replicate one of your screenshots: though when illustrating scenery, it can be more useful to use another view: You could try moving your Orbx Central "Main Library" out of the default location and away from Windows protected folders. You can do that like this: Which is an extract from the Orbx Central User Guide I also commend this support forum topic to you: I hope that John's reply and this one will dispel your impression that Orbx does not offer product support.
  3. Hello, many of us who were born in England have difficult following what has been done to "English" by others who alleged that English is their first language.
  4. Hello Carlos, I have a reply this morning, to the effect that the develper will be fixing this as soon as possible.
  5. Hello, with GSX set up like this: The product's jetways appear to be there, only one at any gate and they work. It looks like it is not particularly compatible with GSX, so if you want to review it, it might be a good idea to do so without any third party addons.
  6. Yes to safe, useful, I really don't know, but it certainly does no harm. All the simulators that Orbx sells products for are pretty much unaffected by drive performance, except that the faster the drive, the shorter the initial loading time. Once running, even the slowest drive will be able to deliver files much faster than the simulator can ask for them.
  7. Hello, please provide a gate number for where you have this problem. At the approximate location that you describe, there seems to be a working jetway:
  8. Hello, as you found, Windows will not do other than trim an SSD.
  9. Hello Carlos, apologies. It looks like my request slipped under the radar. On your behalf, I have contacted the developers directly using their support email.
  10. Hello, I suspect that it is a typo, but for c 129 instead of c 119. Both the XP11 and XP12 installations here are c 129 GB
  11. Hello, I have no update at present, but I have enquired for you.
  12. Hello, the aircraft model is from Aerosoft and it is Aerosoft who withdrew it from sale on Orbx Direct. Here is the official answer: Twin Otter DHC-6 / In den Online Shops nicht mehr verfügbar - Allgemeine Diskussionen (Kein Support!) - AEROSOFT COMMUNITY SERVICES
  13. Hello, the internal reply from the developer was: “It happens only with snow. it should be a bug in the sim as padu has a custom photoreal. Probably photoreal with snow causes this bug”
  14. Here is a view from a different direction. Neither of them resembles the description that you have given.
  15. Hello, Orbx Central is presently not set to recognise P3D v6 for customers. There are no products available to customers for it to install. Testing is in progress.
  16. Hello Ted, the C-47 works just fine in P3D v4, v5 and v6. Maybe not the other two, I don't have them.
  17. Hello, this is usually solved by reinstalling the add-on airport.
  18. Hello, looking back, as you did, I see that LFMT is listed in your account, along with the four others, as separate airport purchases, but with a France VFR Airport Pack 1 discount. I am guessing now, but I suspect that the subsequent revision to make the product a pack instead of a discount on five airports has somehow removed the notification to the Discover map that you own the individual airports.
  19. Assuming that P3D is not installed on your C drive: If you clone the HDD to the SSD and then give the SDD the HDD's drive letter, you will not need to do anything else.
  20. Hello, on 15th June 2022 you bought a product named "France VFR Nord-Ouest Airports - Microsoft Flight Simulator". That product contains these airports, all of which are marked on the Discover map at the coordinates in this image: France VFR Airport France Pack 1 - Microsoft Flight Simulator appears to be a different product and contains the following airports, also marked on the Discover map at the coordinates in this image:
  21. Hello, it looks as if the airports that you mention are not in that pack, but they are in France VFR Pack 1. You don't seem to have bought Pack 1. All of the airports in France VFR Nord-Ouest Airports have map references.
  22. Hello, I have made a change, please try again here: https://orbxdirect.com/product/olcmesh-sa
  23. I think that to look into this, I will need to have the name of the product. I have looked at one France VFR airport pack and indeed, each airport has a map reference.
  24. Hello, internally, there is a checklist that must be completed before the system will allow any product to be released. One of the items is "Map features", so it is highly unlikely that a product will not appear on the Discover map at all. We have seen that, occasionally, it might not appear in exactly the right place. If I open Orbx Central for MSFS, the Discover map is littered with airports. If I open it for P3D v6, because I can, there is only one. It looks like there is not a way to see every product for every simulator at the same time. Could that be it? On the subject of whether they are marked as owned or not, it might also be that there is more than one version, so if you owned say YBBN for P3D, it will not show as owned when the MSFS map is active. EDIT: I notice that we had hijacked Carlos' topic, so I have added these posts to one on the actual subject.
