Don - this problem has been all over the forums - 4 times on this forum - and lots of times on others
There must be a hundred reasons put forward for it to happen - but thew consensus seems to be either
a bug introduced in UD 10 - in which case - MS will "Probably" adjust it in UD 11.
Unfortunately - no one seems to say what their video card was
The other suggestion was it might be caused by the new Nvidia upgrade for the new DLSS to work
In my case - like you - I have a new PC since UD10 - and was also getting the "Message" - quite often
and frustrating - and so since my new setup included an NVidia card - 3060 - I followed some of the suggestions
to check that one's drivers were up to date - because Nvidia Brought out 2 in rapid succession - and I downloaded
the latest - 526.47 - and I haven't seen the problem since.
You say that you have an Asua RTX -and i think that is an Nvidia card - maybe - you should check the driver - and look
at what MS decided your anti-aliasing setup options should be - which I think you will find is DLSS and Quality
RTX 3080 10gb for me.

DX12 may be the culprit. I had this message when I tried DX12 and popped out an ND in MSFS. I reset to DX11 and the problem hasn't surfaced since.

Wayne, are you on DX12? Try switching to DX11.
Fixed the problem for me. I got a crash in DX12 when I activated a pop out window

Paying customers deserve a reply. Filter by partner? How many partners are there for P3D?Orbx has become too big for their boots. I stopped buying years ago and only have a cursory glance at the forums when nothing better to do - which is rarely.

You could try turning off all Online stuff - Weather, AI, Multiplayer; in the Data tab on General Options. That has worked for me so far - touch wood.

I stopped having this problem a long time ago. Haven't bought a third party aircraft or scenery for about three years or so and not about to start. I will get a PMDG product soon when the 737-800 is released but that is because they already have my dough from a P3D purchase.

Yep, being a local, you'll know the situation her in Oz with the airlines. My daughter had a "friend" who knew a "friend " at Qantas, but only one ticket, and business class, Couldn't afford $2000 or there about, oh and one way, it would have been a long walk home, and with the wife complaining the whole time holy crap
Get the Leprachaun to give up some of his bonus or threaten to egg his roof.

Caribbean is my guess but hopefully not. I don't fly in the USA as a matter of principle so the Caribbean would be too close.

Come on, switching the profile when switching the plane is a matter of seconds.
I am actually glad Asobo/MS are not vasting their time and resources on this and put their focus on more important things.
The bottom line is you shouldn't have to.

Thanks Andy, I think this is a dead end, unless MS does something. It's, (to me), and others, so important, that I cant fathom why they haven't got this as standard.
You and me both. Too busy on charm offensive to actually care what simmers want. They are looking after the mass market first and foremost in the Xbox platform.

I regularly only fly a hand full of planes and reassign the control profiles every times. E.g. I have three profiles for my Thrustmaster Airbus Stick, named A320, Sting (the new UL), and H135 (helicopter). Every time I switch between the three I have to reassign the proper profile, and I don't think there is a way having the Sim detecting the proper profiles(s) automatically - yet.
Kind regards, Michael
MSFS doesn't but I think I read somewhere that the FSUIPC pay ware version allows the setting up of controller profiles as it used to in FSX and P3D. Like anything else unless ASOBO is deluged with requests in will not get off the back burner (if it actually is).

Don -- look on the bright side - all your addons will be the latest - and no more trying to find out which one you loaded last year
is the one causing you headaches - and the Orbx install will be a breeze
Assuming you have Orbx stuff - which I don't so a few more hours for me should I fall into the same trap.

Promises, promises - not gonna happen.

I have Volanta loaded and am running v1.1.6.
I have Navigraph authorized as a connection and the Map Settings tab indicates Navdata Cycle 2109 is loaded.
How do I load Cycle 2110? -

Update was a nightmare for me. Probably mostly because of my impatience. After the update I tried to start a flight but after clicking on the Fly Now button it would change screens but then hang and never start. No problem, I'll just uninstall and reinstall it. Except the download from the Microsoft Store would never start. (turns out it was a foliage/texture issue from a tree mod from Bijan that has a new version out already to fix it) I tired searching for answers and ended up making sure all traces of MSFS were gone and tried again. No luck downloading from the MS. I then bought the Steam version and installed it but it only wants to go to my C: drive which is a SSD but only 250 GB. Tried the MS again a few days later and it downloaded ok! But, again to the C drive....ugh. Managed to figure a way to get it on a 2TB SSD now and it runs great. Managed to delete all my addons in the Community folder in the process. Best thing I have done so far with MSFS. Now I can add back in things after verifying from others that they work and maybe using a method like Nick is using. I did get the MSFS Addon Linker and am setting that up as well. All my Orbx titles were in an outside Library and easily added back in using Central/Settings/Help/Sync Simulator for MSFS. So far I only have the trees mod and KCGX Grand Canyon (very nice) in my Community folder.
So all's well that ends well, back to testing new goodies.
PS Almost forgot to mention that Steam/Valve have already issued my a refund for the Steam version that I don't need, now that the MS edition is working again.
Similar issues for me. Deleted the Community Folder and it loaded right away. Have other unrelated issues which prevent MSFS from staying useable. Will wait until the next SU and give it another shot. Not concerned as I have too many other things on the go to worry about this triviality.

Absolutely !! Literally ! - an Orbx region!
I will keep harping about the fact that the Bing scenery is 7 years out of date - and the sea levels are about 2 metres above High Tide
Rob mentioned the Whitsundays - an area I know well - take a look at the NON Whitehaven Beach and Hill inlet, one of the most famous
beaches in the World - the non existent Marinas on Hamilton Island - and in my own town on the Broadwater - not to mention the great
huge beaches the Gold coast is famous for
Orbx please - forget the rest of the World - "you/we are Australian" ---- to coin a famous slogan.
Make one of the 5 updates next year - an Australian one - and please help Asobo get the vectors right with sea levels
The scenery depicts the planet in a few years from now. No beaches and a Barrier reef that has died and been destroyed by rising sea levels.

Hi yes mine said 45GB in total but seemed to do it in two half’s. But now the content manager is doing its 24.22GB update on top is this the same for you???
Omitted to look at the Content updates.
I have 18GIB further to install and that excludes the USA and Japan World Update updates. Never fly in the USA on principle so have never installed it. I also have Paderborn uninstalled after an issue at the last update. Not gonna bother reinstalling it anytime soon either at 17GIB.
That's another morning down the sluice.- 1

I wonder if they could have done this a different way and moved some of the less important changes to a separate install but had they done so PC users would have screamed from the hilltops and a conspiracy that MS was in the process of abandoning PC in favor of xBox would have developed like wildfire.
It is what it is. PC download for me is at 60% after 2 hours. Some crazy stoppages while some licensing issues were accepted has been interesting.
I have other things to do so needless to say they are being done.Update went round in circles for a good half hour when it reached 73%. Shut the machine down and restarted and it rattled along to a conclusion.

For me it's a boom/bust/boom/bust repetitive cycle just like all my other interests, mountain biking, road cycling and hiking/camping. I've now added working in the garden and that is the most compelling for me much to the annoyance of my friends with whom I do all the other outdoor activities.
