I'm trying to post a question on the P3Dv5 forum but it and all the other P3D forums are greyed out when I click on Start New Topic here. If I go to the P3Dv5 forum I see no place to start a new topic Jerry

The London area of True Earth Great Britian South is really the only place I have run out of Vram. I also have True Earth Northern/Southern California, Oregon and Washington but I haven't attempted to fly there in P3Dv5. I only upgraded about a month ago. I will check with Avsim though. I have the current date & year (Feb 2 2022) set in P3D, it says Winter for Season but I'm not getting the winter textures. I'm currently starting a flight from KDEN to KSLC using Flightbeam KDEN which is set to winter but the Colorado textures are summer. I thought maybe the problem was Orbx OpenLC North America so I uninstalled it but when I restarted P3D it looked the same. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? Jerry

Well, now I'm really baffled. I uninstalled OpenLc North America and restarted P3D, checked Addons to make sure it was actually gone but when I went back to areal view and it was still summer. Does P3Dv5 not have winter textures? Jerry

I after disabling OpenLc North America in Addons I exited and restarted P3D. The summer textures were still therer so I went into the Addons menu and OpenLc North America was checked again. Maybe I just need to uninstall it if I want to fly in snowy conditions. Jerry

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I have P3Dv5 spread across three 42" LCD TVs at 4k x 2k, 3840 x 2160. I'm using the Prosim737 PBR v1.55. Jerry

I de-selected OpenLc North America in P3Dv5 Addons, I got an error message saying I needed to correct a Weather error so I deleted all the weather layers and OpenLc North America successfully deselected and the Addons window closed. When I went to the outside areal view the ground textures hadn't changed, still looked like summer. Do I need to restart P3D for the changes to take effect? I know I've flown in winter with snow on the ground before. Jerry

Does OpenLc North America not have seasonal textures? I'm flying in Colorado in February in a heavy snow storm and the ground textures look like summer. Flightbeam KDEN is set to winter. Should I just turn off North America LC if I want the ground to match? Jerry

I thought when I finally got hold of a RTX 3080 my fligh simming would be smooth sailing for a while. I tried flying out of EGLC but I run out of vram before I can even taxi on to the runway. This really suprised me. With my 1080 GTX it was almost a slide show but at least P3Dv5.3 didn't CTD. I don't have settings anywhere near maxed out. Has any one with similar system specs been more successful in this very dense scenery? I purchased EFHK and just flew in yesterday with P3Dv5.3 but all the jetways were missing. Jerry

Every time I start P3Dv5.3 I get a box asking me if I want to enable Orbx Global Vector. Not sure why this keeps happening. I can't tell if Global Vector is actually working. Is there a problem with the install. I tried Verifying Files but the issue persists. I also noticed that there wasn't a Menu Item to correct airport elevations. Jerry

Thanks Doug, that did it. I wonder why All Roads includes runways. That doesn't make any sense. Is it something they just haven't corrected yet? Jerry

I purchased ESKS last week and flew in for the first time last night. There was lots of traffic, not aircraft but vehicles, on the runway and roads. How do I fix this? Is an afcad file the problem?

I was able to solve the problem my uninstalling Germany North/South and Innsbruck and then reinstalling them. Apparently there was some corruption in one of those sceneries. Jerry

I just wondered if there is a reason why Orbx Central automatically chooses scenery.cfg for airports. Why the difference? I don't recall it giving me a choice. Is that a better method for airports? Jerry

I was just curious why Orbx Central installs Land class and Regions into add-on xml but Orbx airports to scenery.cfg? Is it okay to move them to add-on xml? Jerry

I just upgraded to P3Dv5.3 and I have installed all Orbx global LC products as well as Germany North & South. When I try to load any airport from upper Italy, western Austria to Northern Germany P3D crashes while loading terrain data. Spain, France, Great Britian, Norway don't seem to have a problem. I opened Microsoft Event Viewer and there seems to be an issue with a module, q2d.dll. I don't know if the problem is with Orbx, P3D or something else. Jerry

Are True Earth sceneries not compatible with 5.3? I didn't see them in Orbx Central. Jerry

Does P3Dv5.3 require a separate installation for Orbx scenery? Can I not use my current Orbx scenery for P3Dv5? I have all Global, True Earth and Regions and 19 Orbx airports. I had to add a 1TB SSD for P3Dv5 and I would have to add another for more Global, True Earth and Regions or remove them for my 4.5 installation. Jerry

I got P3Dv5.3 installed, ran the default flight and closed, then opened Orbx Central. Prepar3Dv4 was at the top center but I couldn't find a drop down menu to change it to v5.

I am looking at upgrading to P3Dv5.3 and I have many Orbx products. I was wondering if there is a current list of airports and scenery that is compatible with 5.3. I have my Orbx regions and landclass installed on separate ssds from P3D but all my airports are on the same M2 as P3D. Does all my Orbx Scenery have to be re-installed or how do I go about switching them over? Jerry

I took a chance and bought True Earth Northern & Southern California. I haven't had a chance to fly in them yet but I was just curious if anyone else has owned both versions and has any thoughts as to whether they saw a lot of difference. Jerry

I have NA Northern & Southern California and I was wondering if True Earth California & Washington have seasonal textures. I'm considering purchasing those since they are 40% off right now but I'm wondering if there's enough difference in the level of detail to be worth it. Jerry

Thanks Nick Sode was registered but Verifying the files did the trick. I discovered I had to do that with several other Orbx sceneries too. Jerry
