  1. Yes, higher resolutions will affect performance Paul, but by how much depends on several factors. Of course your CPU and GPU matter the most. One important thing to look at for any monitor that you want to use for gaming/simming is the refresh rate. Higher is better. Decent quality gaming monitors have refresh rates in the 144Hz range, whereas good quality gaming monitors have refresh rates in the 240Hz range. Refresh rate matters quite a bit in simming in regards to smoothness. It gets real techy and I do believe @renault Pete can break that aspect down better for you. In real rough terms though, the higher the refresh rate, the better your overall PC system is at smoothly displaying your sim (and other games too). Of course, you get better performance with a better CPU and GPU tied in to this. Maybe Pete can chime in more with a better technical discussion about the importance of refresh rates.
  2. I personally have not experienced this GPU warning phenomenon Wayne, but I have heard about from other sim sites. And as you already posted, there is no fix for it as of yet.
  3. Those are some smart looking ground textures indeed Marcus! Looking mighty fine
  4. Yes it is indeed Iain, and a nice image at that
  5. Some very nice shots John, and I agree with Wayne, that is one standout livery!

  11. Don, I am following this thread in earnest, but since I have not moved to Windows 11 yet, there is not much assistance I can offer on this matter, short of some of the more obvious stuff that you have already been advised of. It does add another layer of complexity to get a new system with a brand new operating system as well. As the frustrating moments hit you, try and take some deep breaths, walk away if needed, get your favorite beverage and then try again when you are not frustrated. Even though I have no Win 11 experience, I have heard countless testimonials from simmers that like it once you get past the learning curve. Such is the cycle of learning how to adapt to a new Windows whenever one comes down the pipe Stay positive, Landon
