  1. Hi Doug, Yes I did check and confirm those settings. To close this loop I just repeated the steps that I performed with my first download, and had the same result. It confirmed the download, downloaded about 150MB additional files (I don't know what they were), performed the missing extractions and conversions, and then finished. Again about 15 minutes total. So I do believe there's an issue with the application, but at least now I know the workaround. I have 2 additional regions to install. Again if the Dev team would like to work through it with me I'd be happy to assist. Thanks again for following up! v/r, Brian
  2. I have an additional update to share. After successful installation of TE US NorCal mentioned above, I decided to push my luck and install TE US Washington State yesterday evening. Still had >500GB on my system drive, and >1.3TB on my data drive (where I installed Orbx Central Library). Started around 8PM. Installation was still chugging away at 11PM, so I left it running overnight. This morning I checked. Installation was stuck in the "exact" location I encountered with the NorCal installation (80% complete). Except now the JSON file is under the Washington State directory. Again no machine activity, only change is the JSON file is being updated every minute, but not being changed. At this time I'm convinced this is a program issue with Central. I killed the installation so I could gracefully shut down the machine and come to work. But otherwise haven't done anything else. Would be happy to look closer if dev folks are interested. Otherwise I'll proceed with reinstallation steps I took for norcal, and hopefully get past this issue. Thanks again, Brian
  3. Hello Doug, I appreciate your response. However in my case this was not the issue. I had 560GB free on my system drive (where Orbx application is installed), and 1.5Tb free on my data drive (which is where I've installed the Orbx library). I believe I was encountering a programmatic loop. In addition to what I stated above, I noticed a temp file was being briefly created and then quickly deleted in the same location as the convert.json file referenced above. I believe it was called convert-json-t, but it would flash so briefly I couldn't tell for sure. That occurred every minute or so. I finally decided to kill the installation (thanks Nick for your instructions), ensured all temp files were cleared, then restarted. The reinstall took literally 10 minutes as it only verified the downloaded files, and then converted the remaining few files. I was floored - after waiting 6 hours hoping something would happen! Thanks again, Brian
  4. UPDATE: About 1.5 hours ago I grabbed a copy of the convert.json file mentioned above, and saved in an alternate location. Just now I grabbed another copy, and saved in that same alternate location (resulting in 2 copies of the same file, with different timestamps). I performed a file comparison; they are Identical. So now I'm thinking the installation is in a loop somewhere, and will run indefinitely. Would appreciate if somebody can advise if I should kill it and start over. Again. (This was my 2nd attempt). Also if I do so - do I need to delete everything and start from scratch? Thanks agan, Brian
  5. Hi All! I'm attempting to install TrueEarth US Northern California HD as my 2nd Orbx product. I've been using TE US Southern California for a while, but just recently moved it into the Orbx library (on a different hard drive with more space). The 52GB download went well, and most files have been extracted and converted. About 3 hours ago I was at: 51.89 of 52.42GB downloaded, 69837 of 69996 Extracted, and 17985 of 17991 Converted. Since then nothing has changed. I saw hard drive activity for a while, but that has waned. CPU, hard drive and network are virtually idle. The only thing I notice: in the Custom Scenery\Orbx_A_US_NoCal_TE_Custom folder there's a file called "convert.json" which does appear to keep updating, although the filesize hasn't changed. Is this normal; and is there any way I can estimate how much longer this might take? It's annoying not knowing if it might be minutes, hours, or days. -Brian
  6. Hello all! I'm a new Orbx customer, and recently installed SoCAL. I'm super pleased with the product, but haven't figured out how to enable moving traffic. I think that would greatly add to the realism level. So far I fly mainly around San Diego; please let me know if this is possible? Thank you! -BK
