  1. Hi all, Has anyone seen anything since the initial promise from Orbx to update Melbourne Landmarks since the YMML release? Yet to see that, or the as promised updates to the non-moving gates and haven't been able to find any further correspondence on it since the initial release.
  2. I'm hoping one of the Orbx staff can let us know whether our addons purchased in the Orbx Launcher are going to be compatible
  3. Any news on whether FSimStudios KHOU is going to be offered on Orbx given their Vancouver, and the likes are?
  4. Also the line marking to stop for the 717/738 at YBBN stand 24 isn't even in line with the jetway, so if that could be fixed too that would be great.
  5. Hi Orbx team, I know that YBBN for MSFS has been a bit of a cluster here on the forums, with lots asking for improvements. But in all honesty - can we please at least have the jetways repositioned so that they align with the aircraft in sim? Especially now that GSX is out. Very disappointing to arrive after a long flight only to have stuff be incapable of aligning.
  6. As the title reads, YBBN on MSFS still has awfully shocking performance compared to every other third-party addon available for the simulator. I'm obviously aware that Orbx missed the boat a bit with this one, and built the scenery for another simulator entirely - and that clearly hasn't transitioned well when ported into MSFS. The work was already started, prior to MSFS2020 being released to my knowledge, so abandoning the investment into the "P3D Development Focused First" scenery probably wasn't viable. However, I get barely 20 frames at this airport, whilst obtaining 40+ from similar or even better quality offerings such as FlyTampa's YSSY + Orbx landmarks. i9-9900K @4.89GHz RTX 2080 32GB DDR4 RAM 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD There's been numerous posts about the poor performance at YBBN on this forum, and I'm curious to know when we can expect performance enhancements to be made? For an airport with such low-res textures, and no landside area like handcrafted airports made for MSFS, it really is a massive disappointment that the performance is so lackluster
  7. Not too sure if it's something Orbx want to take a look at. When at WSSS, the sim is now very stuttery with Singapore Landmarks installed. I've verified through two of my friends also with RTX2080's that uninstalling Orbx Singapore Landmarks increases frame rate exponentially, even with CloudSurfAsia's WSSS installed. Additionally YBBN and Brisbane Landmarks for MSFS seems to really be taking a performance hit on machines. I find flying into FlyTampa YSSY + Orbx Sydney Cityscape fine. I find flying into Impulse Simulations + Orbx Adelaide Landmarks fine. But when flying into Orbx YBBN + Orbx Brisbane Landmarks it's a laggy mess. Verified through uninstalling both that frames skyrocket back into 100+FPS, but installed sits at average 15FPS maximum 22FPS. Perhaps some optimisations to be done. My Specs: Intel i9-9900K @3.6Ghz RTX 2080 64GB RAM M.2 NvME 2T SSD
  8. Just curious! Would rather have it in Orbx Central than have to follow-up on updates and stuff from yet another third party
  9. Hey Marcus! Thanks for the update mate, very welcome news I do love the statics, I just thought that the Fed-Ex, Norwegian and UPS aircrafts just seemed a little grey opposed to white is all!
  10. Hello all, Just wondering if anyone's heard from Orbx about the expected timeframe for working jetways? Considering custom jetways are now functioning in the SDK, as shown with YBBN and some other Orbx airports? At the moment the jetways at ESMS don't function at all, and you have to call a ramp, which in turn clips into the jetway... Also, does anyone else think the static aircraft here look a little dark, and the exposure of them could be turned up a little? They seem quite dark in direct sunlight.
  11. Hey Doug, Thanks for the tip! But the issue began before developer mode was turned on, I flicked it on during to show the values above. Remains regardless of on or off
  12. Hey guys, YBBN / Brisbane Landmarks works fine when loaded up from there in the sim. However, when flying to there from somewhere else it takes forever to load, and in doing so causes massive FPS drops (down to 3FPS) and unusable stuttering. Always begins at approximately 120nm out. This is the only payware / landmarks airport that is causing this issue. I have verified and re-verified files to ensure they're all installed correctly. I have uninstalled the scenery and confirmed the issue no longer persists. I have then re-installed the scenery and have been able to replicate it every occasion. When pressing the escape menu (and the game stops attempting to load the scenery) FPS goes straight back up to 50+ and load latency disappears (as shown below, you can see the massive drop and increase in latency the second the game is un-paused and it begins attempting to load the scenery from a distance). Does not occur with any other Orbx scenery when flying to it from somewhere else. Scenery and Simulator are installed on an M.2 NVMe SSD Processor: intel i9 9900K RAM: 64GB GPU: RTX 2080
  13. I know I personally will be avoiding future Australian Orbx scenery, if they intend to be ports from P3D as the offerings from competitors are taking full advantage of the new simulator benefits, and processing power, especially with the future performance update incoming. Orbx's specifically built MSFS scenery is some of the best in the business, just look at the Sydney Landmarks, Brisbane Landmarks and so on, absolutely stunning, this is the future, of Flight Simming, and I feel that the focus should be there. I think we all know that a more enhanced airport in MSFS would not have drastically changed the performance we could expect - especially not if it was built from the ground up to be optimised for MSFS. Ultimately, releasing a payware airport with jetways that don't connect to the aircraft isn't really excusable, especially since there hasn't been any staff comment as to when we can expect that to be fixed, if at all, rather just a lingering question that one... I notice staff members upvoting the comment that it's not comparable, but with the utmost respect for the development team, as the work they have produced is by far greater than anything I could ever produce, we can expect custom connecting jetway's even from the freeware community offerings for MSFS. Whilst I didn't mean for this conversation to divulge into a "the other products are by different people" ultimately I think @Airlifteryou've highlighted that there's simply better AU scenery offerings from competitors, including Orbx's own partners at the moment, who are building new and exciting scenery, optimised for the new sim. Which is rather disappointing, I'd like to see engagement from team members that the issues the community is highlighting across the forums since YBBN was released (specifically the jetways) are going to be fixed for MSFS, rather than silence and upvoting comments defending it. I do want to stress that no-one I've seen throughout the Orbx forums is having a personal dig at the developers, and I would encourage our conversation to remain civil, as what they've produced is fantastic, especially for P3D. But I think the lack of communication has been a bit of a sore point to a lot, there's some pretty in-depth discussions occurring in major Discord servers about it, and whilst I've already purchased, the talk in the community is if you haven't yet purchased YBBN for MSFS is to all hold off purchasing it until at least there's discussion or some sort of clarification as to the many comments we've seen on the forum about the scenery.
