  1. Had a bit of fun with this yesterday., over Sydney. Used the outside camera view, which took me back to my modelling days - thumbs on the sticks. As good as MSFS is, I miss the days out in the sun staring up into the Heavens watching one of my self built planes flying around the skies, and many nights spent with balsa and glue. Aaaah memories. And I forgot to mention, the "doggie bag" you took home with a broken plane when things went wrong Thanks for looking Don

  15. Great views and memories Don and glad to see you have mastered the gear retraction. I sometimes watch YT videos of RC planes which have taken many painstaking hours to build and cost big money only to come to greif.

  19. Hi Andy. Not yet but maybe this week or weekend. Been swamped with woodworking projects but every time I see the screens from it I'm blown away. A2A is getting close and PMDG is out so nows' the time. It's just going to take time to set up the controls and get a feel for it. My biggest needs after Orbx scenery would be: A weather app, does AS work with it? A traffic app, is there one available? And a GNT 750, is it also available? I'm hoping Pete @renault can give me some advice. Don't know if it'll even run on my PC. Cheers.

  20. I am running some pr scenery for Xplane from a WD Elements storage drive which is 2 TB. Takes a few minutes to load but as soon as it runs no issues and good fps. It's connected to usb 3.

  22. Hi everyone, We realise we have not announced any product roadmap for a while, mostly due to putting efforts on planning around the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator and understanding what was possible. After a few months, and a few more products, we feel now it’s a good time to draw up a list of products which we are planning to release in the next little while. Now - we know in flight sim (and in life!) things can change fast, so we reserve the right to modify the list and the sequence, so best to keep checking our “coming soon” page to be up to date with what is coming next. First of all, here are some of the Landmarks City Packs we have lined up for development in MSFS: Auckland, New Zealand Cape Town, South Africa Cairo, Egypt Dubai, UAE Dublin, Ireland Frankfurt, Germany Honolulu, Oahu, USA Melbourne, Australia Mumbai, India Panama Canal and Panama City Yokohama, Japan ....and Cityscape Sydney for P3D! Then a few Regional Packs, also for MSFS: Canary Islands Northern England Scotland A couple of very neat regions are planned for X-Plane 11 and Prepar3D, with the spectacular TrueEarth Eastern Alps (P3D) and TrueEarth Southern Spain (XP11), and you already know about openLC Asia. Regarding airports, we have a bit of a mix between P3D and MSFS, but we are also looking at a number of refreshed airports for XP11. These below are the ones in production: KBOI Boise International (P3D) KBUR Hollywood Burbank (XPL) KCRW Chuck Yeager (MSFS) KPBI Palm Beach (P3D & MSFS) LDSP Split Airport (P3D & MSFS) LIEO Olbia (XPL) LKPR Prague (P3D & MSFS) VTSP Phuket International (P3D) And from our Indies, we have the following that are in deep development: KAVX Catalina for MSFS (Ken & Tim) ENTO Torp for P3D (Finn) KVNY Van Nuys for P3D & MSFS (Matteo) LIPH Treviso for MSFS (Matteo) SBSP São Paulo for MSFS (Matteo) ESSB Stockholm Bromma for MSFS & P3D (Marcus) On top of these, our Australian HQ airport, YMEN, will be launched on MSFS, P3D and XP11 at the same time. Essendon Fields is celebrating 100 years of operation, and we are working closely with Essendon Fields management and airport operations to bring you this airport in its full glory, with max details and true to life buildings. We are rather excited by this (very excited as a matter of fact!), and we hope you will all come and visit. ;-) In some really new news, we will be soon releasing our very first aircraft for MSFS - the Edgley Optica. The aircraft was designed for low speed observation work with a loiter time of around 7 hours, intended to rival helicopters. The bubble canopy provides an amazing 270 degrees panoramic vision and almost vertical downward vision, which is perfect for enjoying Orbx scenery all around. A total of 22 aircraft were manufactured over the years and some are still operational in countries across the globe. Our version has been lovingly crafted with a high attention to detail and will come with some representation of real world skins including some of our own favourite custom designs. We are sure you will love flying this aircraft in MSFS as much as our team has. Well! That is a bit of a list which will keep us busy for the next few months… We are leaving this post open for comments. Happy to get your feedback and future requests! As always yours in flying, The Orbx Team

  23. Orbx Content: True Earth EU Spain South Sitting on the mouth of the Guadalquivir River, Sanlucar de Marrameda is a popular summer tourist destination. Opposite is the Donana National Park. There has been a settlement here since ancient times and in the 15th and 16th centuries many expeditions left the port. In 1522 the Nao Victoria became the first ship to circumnavigate the world, the only survivor of the 5 ships than left on Magellan's expedition 3 years earlier.

  24. Just posted these to prove I CAN do it Really easy to work the gear up, thought it was going to be a strain on my feeble brain, but no, it all worked out well, and the girl looks really purty with her wheels tucked away. As I explained to Adam, my problem with the gear was a file problem, not the aircraft, (or me) Don Just can't wait for A2A or some other dev, to put out the B17.

  25. We all want to join the club "turn back time". Your Grumman looks like a big engine equipped with a jump seat Don! Cher did a lot of good music, films and shows, really a professional. Now she wants to turn back time more than ever I think.

  30. Thanks Martyn, they were good times. I was still doing it when I came to Queensland, but gave up after trying to build planes in a shed in thirty degree head, in the shed forty. MSFS is a lot more civilised. Gear up, yep mastered that, now moving on to starting, the one with the big bang. Don

  38. Thank you very much Iain! Thanks a lot Landon! The scenery at Tacoma and the harbor is well done. Glad you like it Paul! Thank you very much Mr. Gerold but I am not Mr. Paul, I am Mr. Andreas... Good to hear John! Thank you Martyn, the 747 in XP is really not bad, the 737 as well and I also like the MD 80. I haven't seen a 747 flying over in real for long time. What comes from what in the sceneries is sometimes difficult to say, I often have that problem. Thank you Adam! Thanks a lot John! Yeah, it's fun. Thank you Wayne. I thought of upgrading to hd version, it's not expensive, but a lot of data. I have all the 5 TE sceneries for the US in SD and HD is nearly 700 gb more. Too much, the SD version is rather good. Have no space on the drives anymore.... I need a 8 TB ssd at a price of 200 Euro.

  44. Why not go back to the roots and develop those small charming airport in the middle of nowhere that nobody heard off. Those where the things that brought me into Orbx in the past and what I feel is what made Orbx special and unique. Nowadays it seems its all about regional and international airports that gets the focus. Sure, you released ports of the old small ones but they are FSX quality(wich sucks) and nothing new seems to be developed. Its making me sad, and im not sure where to go anymore to find such gems. And what happend to "people flow", something everyone else seems to be able to do, but not Orbx?
