  2. Easy for me. Tom, Gerry, and The Monarchs. That's the rock band I played with back in the late '50's. Mostly original stuff. We even managed to cut a couple of 45's. What a hoot. There is currently a group call The Monarchs. They've been around since 1962. We broke up in 1959. How come they are still around and we aren't? That's easy to answer...they're MUCH better than we ever were .

  3. Being one who appreciates all types if music I found this hard to decide but I have to nominate the enigmatic Bob Dylan as the one who most influenced, and still influences, my own progress as a musician right from his earliest days until now!

  6. For me its got to be 'The Seekers'. I can, and do, listen to their music for an hour or two every day. And its not only the music, the words resonate strongly with me too. Their song; 'I am Australian' could well be the National Anthem of that magnificent Country and it's people.

  12. Testing my modded B350i (new engines (Blackhawk PT-6-67A), flight model, GTN 750 and various other changes / fixes), with a flight along the South Eastern side of Africa (also with Orbx's openLC Africa). Here's the GTN Also tweeking the cloud shader as I go, I want those shadows to be just right. The African lc is pretty reasonable overall. There were a few thunderstorms along the way, quite a lot of turbulance and the plane was rocken and rollen all over the place. Further cloud tweeking, this time the shading of the far distance clouds, making them just a tad redder. Where I am. And that's all folks :-) Good flight, corrected a few niggling issues with the B350i and adjusted the cloud shader, and will probably make further changes once I better understand what does what in the shader code. Cheers

  14. There are so many, I even surprise my teenage kids when I stream contemporary artists on our home speaker network. The Eagles, early Bee Gees, Stones, Dire Straits........this is too hard Rodger! I'm going to have to go with an Aussie artist - Paul Kelly. He's had several iterations, Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls, Paul Kelly and the Messengers......etc. This man can tell a story through music. He's a legend :

  22. Strange indeed!!! What version of Sergio's NZMF do you have running? And ... did you clear your rolling cache before (or after) the SU9 update? Does anyone know if scenery *order* (in the contents.xml file) is important for Orbx-related scenery?

  29. Is it not the case though, that in order to be informed of updates, all you need to do is go to Orbx Direct and any and all updates will be listed and immediately downloadable. This current system seems to me to be far more efficient than loading up everyone's email boxes, not to mention the difficulties in managing emails targeted to every user's specific list of products.

  32. in all honesty, I like such a variety of music, Dance (modern not waltz), rock, R & B, pop, Jazz all sorts, I say if it gets my foot going then I must surely like it....however given just one group or artist then it would be Dire Straits, started in 1982 when I heard Telegraph Road, I was hooked....Dire Straits were with me constantly on my Sony Walkman, from times in the Army to meeting my wife, to my kids being born and our soundtrack in the car....favourite track was Sultans of Swing....Mark Knopfler, legend....

  33. Hi all, The World Update VII compatibility fixes for Cityscape Sydney is now available on Orbx Central. The update is being submitted to Microsoft as well as an XBox version for testing and acceptance. This update works best with the photogrammetry data as being enabled. If the PG is disabled you will see issues with the Sydney Harbour Bridge off-ramps. Note that with photogrammetry enabled, we have used best efforts in ensuring POIs work well within the photogrammetry area in the CBD. We have elected to retain the original Cityscape Sydney Harbour Bridge and One Barangaroo POIs in lieu of those shipped with WU:VII in update as well.
