  1. As always with a new region, ORBX always seem to raise the bar, Germany South is no exception to that and here you will find so much variety in scenery to explore. I start with these first few previews with many more to come over the following days! All shot in P3Dv4 straight from the V key

  7. People prefer different aspects of flight simulation. Some love to look at knobs and gauges. Some love to look at airport environments. Some love to talk with ATC. Some love to experience weather and winds and clouds. Some like to look at ground environments from up in the air, like rivers and roads and forests and hey maybe also some animals here and there (that you can maybe terrify with your magnificent aeroplane) All these things are perfectly good reasons to enjoy flying in real life, and are thus valid aspects to try and simulate, depending on what is reasonably possible within the constraints of a computer environment.

  9. Ladies and gentlemen, please get ready for boarding. Please notice that due to our airline policy you are not allowed to bother other travellers with permanent mobile phone calls. So please decide if you like to talk to your crew and neighbors, or stay in virtual life. Seems to be somebody has preferred to stay on the phone. And on the ground. OK, climbing out... ... over Lake Shasta, ... ... and Columbia River. Oooo, oooo, oooh, the ring of fire...! Approaching over Tacoma... ... into Microsoft city. Or Amazon city? Or Starbucks city? No. SEAHAWKS CITY this is.

  14. hello Orbx guys, although not an airport dweller more than a landscape explorer (I don't even remember the Orbx airports I own ), I'm astonished to land on some AK remote airstrip and find there an old man drinking coffee and another one reading the newspaper so, isn't a possible option to request somemore details, i.e. occasional wild animal packs to spot along the wilderness exploration? thanks anyway for your sceneries

  17. Great plane and GPS combo. There's nothing like being able to point and click with a mouse to create custom flight plans as well as alter that same flight plan quickly and easily if need be.

  18. Flying out of High River Alberta (CEN4) Thought I would try out the Vans RV-4 aircraft. I like it. Lots of realism as far as start-up procedures, maintenance, and flight characteristics go. Two flight instrument layouts including a nice electronic display. Good 2-D panels for multi display flying. Lots of cool paints. (For best view, click on the image to enlarge it) Orbx – Global: Base, Vector, HD Trees, Open LC North America, AI Traffic North America; NA Northern Rocky Mountains, CEN4 High River Alberta; Vans RV-4 Aircraft (May also include REX and/or REX4)

  21. That must be Ramstein Air Base near Kaiserslautern.. I'm quite surprised. That looks way more detailed than the usual airport enhancements that come with FTX regions. And an active U.S. air base at that.

  24. Many of the ORBX airports do have animals but you do have to go and look for them in some cases. Its not low flying planes that the sheep in NZ run from in terror.. Nudge, nudge,.

  36. Geneva. One of my most popular flight areas. The region offers simply a very varied presentation of the landscape and the terrain. The flights between Zuerich and Geneva will always be fun to me :-) Thanks for the great pictures, Stewart! regards, Christian

  37. Born On The Bayou, southern Louisiana swamps. You and I must have the same taste in music John! Correct Adam! One of my favorite songs. Good heavens no! Gosh what a situation this mess is. Louisiana rivers, called the bayou Martyn. Lots of alligators there. Yes, and since it was September 3rd I guess it's Orbx's seasonal changes. Here in Georgia, because of the summer-long drought, the leaves have been turning and falling WAY early, earliest I've ever seen it in the 26+ years I've lived here.

  39. Thanks Iain! Thanks Paul, that's precisely why I like it. It's a wonder to behold the system work. And having worked these planes it's special to me. Thank you Taph, wish I had a yellow one! No, I'm afraid I don't Mickel. I reckon I have quite a collection of them there now, maybe I'll lease them to a SA airline. Thanks Martyn! I just did this for practice, I have a lot more city pairs coming up as soon as I find the time. They're not abandoned, just low on gas! Thank you kind sir Richard! I had them all towed to a special yellow hangar where they'll be leased out.
